The Plumbing Pipe 8 Bulb Formal Chandelier is a large, heavy plumbing pipe chandelier with eight lamp holders in a crossed, balanced design, for a large dining or boardroom table, or as a feature light in a foyer or entrance. It is made from two sizes of plumbing pipe with threaded and hex-key fittings, and hangs from a pipe and cast flange, which is the wiring point.

Its scale suits high ceilings: a warehouse, a large venue, or perhaps a castle. Pictured with small Holophane shades on 2 1/4″ galleries and candle LED globes. Each light is made by hand to order in our workshop. Precision parts and careful assembly make it strong enough for commercial as well as home use.

Options

Enter the height you need, from ceiling to light, in the Custom Length to Ceiling box. Choose the pipe finish from the Custom Finish menu: galvanised (standard), flat black, stripped and rusted, brass painted, or raw steel (oil rubbed). The rusted finish is sealed with Penetrol, which gives a darker, smoother rustic look; it may still age slightly over time. Choose the lamp holder finish from the Hardware Colour menu: nickel-plated, antique brass, bronze-plated or new brass. For a formal look, add galleries with glass or metal shades, ordered separately.

Voltage

Choose E27 230V (Australia, NZ, UK) or E26 120V (USA, Canada) sockets and wiring from the Voltage menu. For 120V we supply a 4″ J-box mount in the same finish as the pipe. Our 120V versions use UL-listed parts, but the light itself is not UL listed.

Globes

Takes anything from candle LED globes to 125mm spiral LED globes. Eight 11W G125 globes give plenty of light; most people prefer the softer glow of vintage filament or vintage LED globes. Takes most E27 globes (light bulbs), including LED. Globes are not included.
