The Black Porcelain Ceramic Batten Holder Edison E27 Fitting is a glazed black porcelain batten holder that mounts on a ceiling or wall. Use it for a simple bare-globe light. It has a ceramic insert and brass screw terminals. A locking mechanism stops the body unscrewing by accident when you change the globe. These affordable batten holders are made in China.

Rewiring

To rewire it, release the anti-rotation lock: with a screwdriver, push down the raised tab at the base of the E27 thread inside.
