Plumbing Pipe 7 Russian insulator large table light. E14 240V in galvanised steel water pipe fitting light that can be used to light up a long dining table or bar or as a ceiling light feature. 7 X E14 lamp holders are attached to this fitting inside the glass insulators. The galvanised metal pipe is bolted to these insulators by means of a specially fabricated plastic washer.  The Chinese made glass insulators were designed for the high voltage power lines that cross the Russian Federation from Power stations to sub stations. Very industrial in design we can see this being used over bars and large dining tables. Secures to the ceiling via two galvanised steel pipe and flange plates which are also the wiring points. This pendant is delivered as two components wired separately that are simply screwed together on location.

This is a high tension cable insulator normally used on very tall power grid towers. This insulator design was originally made in Soviet Union by the LVIV INSULATOR PLANT started in 1965 and later became the LVIV INSULATOR COMPANY in Lviv, Ukraine in 2002. These insulators weigh in at around 1 kilo so they are expensive to ship and can be supplied with a chain mount in addition to a top hook for ceiling mount. Due to the fact that these insulators are still in manufacture they are able to be sourced with some confidence from suppliers in China.

Can be ordered in Galvanised, Rusted, or Flat Black. The rusted finish may continue to age slightly but a coating of “Penatrol” can seal in a darker rustic finish.

Various glass insulators can be selected. Two clear greenish glass sizes and one dark green fluted color are available optional. This light can be fitted with your choice of vintage bulbs, but any E14 bulb can be used including LED’s. Choose between E14 for 240V requirements, and E12 for 120V requirements. Note that for E12 120V applications, UL listed components are used but the light fitting itself is not UL listed.
