Replica plumbing pipe gas light. This light fitting can be used to light up a kitchen table or bar or just as a ceiling light feature. Solid Brass E14 lamp holders are attached above special 3 inch Hurricane shade galleries and Hurricane lamp shades.  Secures to the ceiling via steel pipe and flange plate which is also the wiring point.

This design is made to replicate a gas light style used for a number of years as interior light of service rooms and would have been run on coal gas supply in the early 1900’s. This light is however wired to provide a light source as modern LED or vintage filament in 12 Volt or mains voltage.

Dimming and voltage

Seen photographed with a dimming lever together with control chains this configuration requires us to supply with a 1-10V dimmable 12 Volt driver and 12 Volt candelabra globes. Dimming control can also be via red inline tap style for low voltage solution.

If mains voltage is required then dimming is only possible as wired in main switch and dimmer (not supplied). In this case 240 Volt or 120 Volt type E14 globes should be used. We can still supply with a tap or lever mechanism but these will not supply dimming. If ordered with no tap or lever these will be replaced with a plugged cap in a tee fitting.

Can be ordered in Galvanised, Rusted, or Raw steel painted Flat Black. The rusted finish may continue to age slightly but a coating of “Penatrol” can seal in a darker rustic finish.
