Bakelite Contemporary Lamp holder Edison E27 fitting with smooth style body, plastic insert and insulated thread and screw terminals. Cord Grip mechanism insures that cable can not be pulled out of the fitting.
This ES lamp holder has a standard anti rotation lock so that unscrewing the bulb will not unscrew the lamp holder. To unscrew the lamp holder from it’s cap you must depress the tab inside to release the ratchet effect.
Choose from a cordgrip included or no grip. Also choose an alternate lamp holder that has visible text on the outside relating to product code and compliance. Choose this lamp holder with all thread and hex nut where the lamp holder is not visible within a light fitting.
Bakelite is the oldest type of plastic, being made from a pulp.

Bought to replace a Clipsal 501-WE B22 lamp holder in an antique light. Some sanding needed on the new lamp holder to get it to the right offset and some dremeling on the lamp shade fitting to find the wider profile, but worked a treat and the threads were the same size to fit.
The light didn’t initially switch on and it was found the outer terminal of the fitting just needed a slight tweak towards the centre of the fitting to make the right contact with the bulb.
