Vintage Plumbing Pipe 6 Russian insulator Gantry light. This light fitting can be used to light up a table or bar or just as a ceiling light feature. Choose from 3 different Russian high tension power insulators that are to be attached to this fitting. The steel pipe is bolted to these insulators by means of a specially fabricated plastic washer. The Chinese made glass insulators were designed for the high voltage power lines that cross the Russian Federation from Power stations to sub stations. Very industrial in design we can see this being used over bars and serving tables where a reasonable amount of light is needed. Secures to the ceiling via cast steel pipe and flange plates, one which is also the wiring point. Bulbs not included, choose any SES bulbs from the menu. 6 globes are required. Unlike our standard gantry light this uses one inch (34mm) plumbing pipe as the main horizontal bar so as to add the strength required to take the weight of the glass.

Can be ordered in Galvanised, Rusted, or Flat Black. The rusted finish may continue to age slightly but a coating of “Penatrol” can seal in a darker rustic finish. The lamp holders are also available in a variety of finishes.

This light can be fitted with your choice of vintage bulbs, but any E14 bulb can be used including LED’s. Choose between E14 for 240V requirements, and E12 for 120V requirements. Note that for E12 120V applications, UL listed components are used but the light fitting itself is not UL listed.
