Long Flame proof cast aluminium vintage twin tube light is a restored and polished Daeyang ship light previously employed in ships’ engine rooms, cargo decks and similar areas. Flame proof cast aluminium vintage ex-flouro tube light were designed to allow efficient lighting on LNG or LPG carriers and chemical container ships where explosion proof lighting is essential. Built in the 1970’s, these light fittings are extremely heavy duty weighing around 14kg each.

They are ridiculously over engineered for the purpose we now see them being used for, but they are an industrial style that we think would look fantastic over a coffee machine or bain-marie. Incorporating a thick glass containment around the tubes, they may also provide lighting for food preparation areas i.e., shatterproof.

The original vapour containment system and ballast for the fluorescent tubes are removed and then retro fitted with 2 low voltage LED strip lights.

These lights have been stripped of their original light green paint and then polished to a degree, but not to a “perfect surface”. We clean them up as best we can, but they will show signs of wear consistent with their age. The original vapour containment system and ballast for the fluorescent tubes are removed  and then retro fitted with a custom manufactured LED strip assembly, that provides 360 degree light output, and an external LED driver. The LEDs are high quality with a Colour Rendition Index of >90. All new wiring is provided ready to be installed by your electrician. We can also supply chain or stainless steel cable suspension. However, you may prefer to supply your own solution including hard mounting to a ceiling. A range of aluminium ceiling hooks are also available.

Three meters of two core black braid is supplied to connect the light fitting to the LED driver that requires to be externally mounted.

Choose between 240V and 120V to suit your Country voltage.  For US and Canada, UL listed components are used but the light fitting itself is not UL listed.
TRIAC Dimming is compatible with most mains-connected trailing or leading edge dimmers. 1-10V dimming can be used with any 1-10V dimmer or other systems such as DALI. You can also choose to have this supplied with no driver and supply your own to supply 24 volt constant voltage to suit your control system.

Color Temperature

*Colour Temperature can be specified from Vintage warm (2700K), Warm (3000k), Neutral (4000k) or Dim to warm (1800K to 3000K)

The Din-to-warm Series is easily dimmable and controllable with TRIAC dimming (MLV, and ELV), PWM dimming, and 0/1-10V dimming. As the lights dim, they automatically warm from 3000K to 1800K. The strip offers the nostalgic comfort of incandescent lighting while utilizing modern technology that can be used in almost any space. All without having to install a complicated control system.
