Product Description

The Braced Plumbing Pipe Billiard Table Light is an industrial-style light for a regular or full-size billiard, pool or snooker table. It also suits a large dining table, bar or kitchen bench.

The design is based on original 1930s farm-made fittings. It takes three large Holophane-style ribbed glass shades, 300mm across, fitted with matching 3¼” galleries. Alternatively, choose one of our 310mm steel shades, which don’t need a gallery. It uses solid brass lamp holders.

It hangs from galvanised steel pipe with a cast steel flange, which is also the wiring point. With the large Holophane glass shades, it weighs around 10kg, so it needs a secure mount in the ceiling cavity.

It is a shorter, more compact version of our Galvanised Plumbing Pipe Conservatory Light, with a Holophane glass shade option.

Placement Tips

For pool, snooker or billiards, hang the light about 800mm (32″) above the table. Metal shades are the better choice over a playing table because they cut glare in the players’ eyes.

Voltage

Choose E27 for 230V countries (Australia, NZ, UK) or E26 for 120V countries (USA, Canada). Our 120V versions use UL-listed components, but the light fitting itself is not UL listed.

Shipping and Installation

We ship this light in separate components to meet local and international packing requirements. Glass shades are always packed apart from the heavy brass parts, and all shades and ceiling plate parts are packed detached. Longer lights may arrive in sections that simply screw together before installation.

Your electrician can use the product photos as a guide. Fit the shades only once the light is fully installed.

Finishes

Choose the pipe finish from the Custom Finish menu: galvanised (standard), raw steel rubbed with linseed oil, flat black painted, stripped and rusted, or painted in an antique brass, bronze or new brass colour. The rusted finish will keep ageing slightly. A coat of Penetrol seals in a darker, rustic look. Let us know if you’d like us to do this.

The brass hardware comes in nickel plated (pictured), antique brass, bronze or Polished Brass (also known as New Brass).

Globes

Pictured with an A75 LED filament globe, but any E27 globe (light bulb) can be used, including LED. With the large Holophane shades, we recommend the 11 watt C100 (shown in the gallery images). Globes are not included; choose them from the globe menu.
