Product Description

The Vintage Edison Polished Brass Full Size Cross Billiard Table Light is a solid brass four-lamp light designed to be installed as a pair, evenly lighting a full-size 12-foot billiard, pool or snooker table.

It is made from solid polished brass with four lamp holders. The main photo shows the 270mm flat black dome shade. Four chain stiffeners with turnbuckles keep it level. The maximum diagonal width is 1253mm. Shade sizes vary, but we recommend the larger shades to suit the size of this light.

Shades

Shade sizes, to help you work out your total drop:

• Antiqued green dome: 200mm (8″) high × 270mm (10.6″) wide
• Bronze dome: 200mm (8″) high × 270mm (10.6″) wide
• Flat black dome: 200mm (8″) high × 270mm (10.6″) wide
• Antique steel: 100mm (4″) high × 310mm (12″) wide
• Rustic steel: 100mm (4″) high × 310mm (12″) wide
• Dark green: 100mm (4″) high × 310mm (12″) wide
• Brass flat: 65mm (2.6″) high × 310mm (12″) wide
• Enamel coolie (green or red): 105mm (4″) high × 355mm (14″) wide

Some shades need a brass gallery (see images). Some shades have a white or off-white reflector inside; others are natural metal. See our Metal Shades for details.

Prefer your own shades? Choose “No Shades” and fit any shade with a 2¼” gallery fitting.

Pendant Drop

The drop rod screws into the ceiling canopy, so we need the exact length when you order. Choose the drop from the ceiling canopy to the top of the shade in the Pendant Suspension Drop menu. Your total drop is that length plus the height of your shade. Because of the way this light is built, the minimum drop is 625mm (24.6″).

Placement Tips

For pool, snooker or billiards, hang the lights about 800mm (32″) above the table. Metal shades are the better choice over a playing table because they cut glare in the players’ eyes.

Voltage and Ceiling Roses

Choose E27 for 230V countries (Australia, NZ, UK) or E26 for 120V countries (USA, Canada). It comes with a matching cast polished brass ceiling rose. For 120V, it comes with a canopy to fit a standard 4″ J-box. Our 120V versions use UL-listed components, but the light fitting itself is not UL listed.

Shipping and Installation

We ship this light in separate components to meet local and international packing requirements. Glass shades are always packed apart from the heavy brass parts, and all shades and ceiling plates are packed detached. The drop rod and stiffener chains are supplied to fit on site.

Your electrician can use the product photos as a guide. Fit the shades only once the light is fully installed.

Finishes

Polished Brass is also known as New Brass. Choose your finish from the Final Finish Type menu: polished and lacquered, which won’t tarnish (clean it with a non-abrasive furniture polish); polished and not lacquered, which tarnishes naturally over time (polish it with Brasso® to keep the shine); or brushed and not lacquered. This light is also available in Antique Brass and Bronze.

Globes

Takes any E27 globe (light bulb), including vintage filament and LED filament globes. Globes are not included and can be ordered separately.
