Product Description

The Raw Black Steel Plumbing Pipe Hooded Shade Pendant is a pipe-mounted pendant with a 250mm hooded steel shade and a solid brass lamp holder in an IP44 containment. It is made with raw black steel pipe, and because it hangs from a rigid pipe it will not sway in wind or draughts, so it suits outdoor areas such as verandahs and entrances. Raw steel ages and will rust outdoors; re-oiling it with linseed oil from time to time slows this. For less rust, choose the flat black version. Each light is made by hand to order in our workshop. Precision parts and careful assembly make it strong enough for commercial as well as home use.

For outdoor use, seal the ceiling flange to the ceiling with silicone to make it IP44.

Options

Enter the total drop, from ceiling to the base of the shade, in the Pendant Drop Length box. Choose the shade from the Hooded Lamp Shade Colour menu: antiqued steel, flat black (white inside) or galvanised (clear-coated zinc inside). Outdoors in the rain we recommend the flat black painted shade, as antiqued steel and galvanised may rust over time. The shade fixes to the pipe with a flanged ring nut.

Voltage

Choose E27 230V (Australia, NZ, UK) or E26 120V (USA, Canada) sockets and wiring from the Voltage menu; for 120V we supply a 4″ J-box cover to match the pipe. Our 120V versions use UL-listed parts, but the light itself is not UL listed.
