Product Description

The Plumbing Pipe Caged Pendant is a pipe-mounted pendant with an industrial machine-shop look: a solid brass lamp holder inside a glass globe cover and cage, with a metal shade above. Because it hangs from a rigid pipe, it will not sway in wind, air-conditioning or a doorway draught, so it suits outdoor areas too.

It is rated IP56 when the ceiling flange is sealed with silicone. Each light is made by hand to order in our workshop. Precision parts and careful assembly make it strong enough for commercial as well as home use.

Options

Enter the total drop, from ceiling to the base of the cage, in the Pendant Drop Length box. Choose the pipe finish from the Alternate Finish menu: galvanised (standard), raw black steel (oil rubbed), flat black, brass painted, or stripped and rusted, or solid brass pipe and flange. The rusted finish is sealed with Penetrol, which gives a darker, smoother rustic look; it may still age slightly over time. Raw steel is oiled with linseed oil to slow rusting; outdoors it will need re-oiling from time to time. Choose the shade from the Metal Shade Options menu: 190mm antiqued steel, galvanised, matt black or rustic steel, 190mm green coolie or solid brass, 310mm antiqued steel, galvanised, green or rustic steel, or no shade. Choose an aluminium or brass cage, or no cage or glass, from the Bulb Cage and Cage Type menu.

Shades

The shade sits on a shade ring under a larger pipe coupler, so any of our metal shades without a gallery and with a 38mm hole will fit, including the 190mm and 310mm sizes and some larger styles. The flat black shade has a white reflector inside, the galvanised shade a clear-coated zinc reflector and the antiqued steel shade an antiqued steel reflector.
